Express Entry is an electronic system used to collect and manage applications of skilled workers who are seeking to immigrate to Canada and become a permanent resident. This system allows the Government of Canada to filter through and select the higher ranked candidates and invite them to submit an application for permanent residence.
There are three programs under Express Entry that a candidate can apply under:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
- Federal Trades Worker Program (FTWP)
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
Express Entry Process:
Once an Express Entry profile is created, it remains valid for up to one year. After the candidate receives an Invitation to Apply (ITA), the Canadian government can process their application within six months. The six-month period begins when they receive the complete application. However, if the candidate does not receive an ITA within the one-year period of creating their Express Entry profile, they can simply re-submit their profile if they are still eligible.
Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible to apply under Express Entry, the applicant must meet at least one of the following economic immigration program’s eligibility criteria:

We will calculate your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, which is an essential part of the process prior to creating your Express Entry profile. Multiple factors are assessed under the CRS point system, such as your age, education, work experience, language proficiency, and adaptability. We will then provide you with our feedback on next steps or room for improvements to ensure you qualify. The higher your score, the greater your chance of receiving an ITA and getting accepted. Your high score tells the Canadian government you are more likely to get well settled and established into the Canadian economy.
