There are more than 50 immigration programs through which foreign nationals such as yourselves can immigrate through to gain permanent residency. To cut through the confusion, we’ve listed a few of the top ways to save you time and get started today.
#1 – Federal Express Entry
The Express Entry system is designed for skilled works who have the work experience to gain permanent resident status. Individuals are ranked based on their qualifications, such as age, experience, education level, language proficiency scores, and those with higher scores are invited to apply. Interested applicants can apply under one of the three programs:
The great benefit of this stream is the fast processing time that allows 75% of the applications to be processed within 4 months or less! And what’s more, workers can bring their family members as well!
#2 – Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
Each province in Canada has its own special nominee program so that they can find workers that meet their individual economic needs. Candidates who are selected by the province receive an additional 600 CRS points that basically assures them that they will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence under the Express Entry system. There are over 70 PNP programs to choose from – find one that you are eligible for and that’s your ticket to Canada!
#3 – Immigrate as an International Student
Coming as an international student is an excellent way to experience Canada. Canada is one of the leading countries to further one’s education with its affordable tuition and great education system. There are numerous schools in Canada that allow for the opportunity to obtain a Post-Graduation Work Permit (clickable link to its page) upon completion of the program. After acquiring one year of work experience, the individual may be eligible to apply under one of the Express Entry programs in order to obtain their permanent residence. Check out our sister company Education Abroad to find a program you can apply to! They help with your application from start to finish to ensure you have the best chance possible of receiving an offer letter.
#4 – Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIP)
The AIP allows the Atlantic provinces (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island) to attract skilled workers outside of Canada to stimulate their economy. In order to be eligible, the individual must have an offer letter, and once that is obtained they will receive support in their immigration process! Refer to each of the Atlantic province’s requirements to see you meet their needs or message us!
